I am disappointed. I have been a diehard Playstation owner since it first came out, but now I am disenchanted with Sony. $500-$600 for a system?! Maybe I am getting older and don't game as much as I used to but I am finding that hard to swallow. I understand the whole Blu-ray thing but even that isn't that exciting, when am I going to use it? At this point the 360' is looking good.

Leaves and Rocks

I thought I would spread some Andy Goldsworthy love, he is a fantastic sculpter that uses nature as his medium, nothing artifical is used in his work. I was introduced to him a few years ago and have been enjoying it ever since.

Man I have been a blogging machine today, mostly because I started from home and my first three calls were at the same house and those always go fast. So alas here I am again.....waiting.... on a customer.

Is it wrong?

Is it wrong of me to dust off my old Tigers hat and start wearing it again now that they are doing well?

My Wife

I just wanted to share with the few people that visit this blog how wonderful my wife is! She wrote me a note and put it in with my lunch (which she packs for me daily) and it made my day. She is a wonderful, hard-working stay at home mom that I love with all my heart. I love you baby!

Here is a nice tidbit for you: Later on I am running a call on a street called
CHACHALACA! How awesome is that, I would move there just so I could say I lived on
Chachalaca Trace!
Well guess what I am doing again? That is right, waiting for a customer. Although atleast this time I know when they are going to show up. So what has been going on this week, not much been pretty slow at work although I am still getting my 8 hrs in, which is odd because usually we are pretty busy this time of year. Been emailing my best friend in Iraq and we are going to plan our upcoming road trip in Europe for next summer. I am looking forward to that, especially after watching "Long Way Round" the documentary type movie of Ewan Macgregor and his
best friend Charlie Boreman when they went around the world on a couple of BMW's. So tooling around Europe should be fun. I have been wanting to do that since we went ot England three years ago, great riding country over there. Also have trip
coming up, two actually; one to NY state for a wedding and one to sawdust hole for camping with brothers and uncles and possibly grandpa which would be a treat. The wedding should be fun, it is going to be held at a renasaince (I don't think
I spelled that right) festival, one of the largest in the country from what I understand. Hopefully we'll get to see my Uncle while we are out there, don't get to see him much and it would be nice to see him. The camping trip should be fun
to, better than the last time I went up there recently. I took a group of guys from my church up for the weekend. I have learned that it is better to be "part" of camping and not the leader of a camping trip. I had hoped to just hang out with
the guys and and relax but instead it was almost like babysitting. Maybe I am over-reacting (which is very possible) or maybe what transpired after the trip has left a bad taste in my mouth (which is also very possible.) So anyway I am looking
forward to going up and being part of a camping weekend and relaxing, It is a beautiful spot, nice and secluded and when you camp down by the river you are almost guaranteed not to see anyone except the people your with and a few people on
the river floating by. Yeah, nice.

Foiled again, they showed up as I was pulling out!
So what I have decided to do and will attempt to do is write posts when I can and then when I get online then I can transfer them. Saw an old friend from high school today, for those of you that know him it was Big Lon. It was good to see him, we are going to try and hangout soon. Also, tried the new Famous Bowls from KFC, pretty good. At first I wasn't too impressed but by the time I got to the end of it I was disappointed that there wasn't any left, and I guess that is true measure of how good a meal is. If you're bummed at the end of your tasty dish that there is no more: it was a good meal. I am also contemplating putting some of my journal online as it is on this computer as well. I probably will put some of it on there, not that there is much there to begin with (just a handful of entries) but not all of it. Again I am waiting for a customer to show up. OH! that reminds me, the last customer thatI waited forever for ended up showing up at the last minute, but not inthe way that you think.I felt like I spent too much time posting that day and when I left I was all nervous thinking that they would pull in and I'd be sunk. So I was ignoring all the cars that I passed on my way out of the subdivision, only catching the sight of one vehicle. Needless to say (though I will say it, how odd of a phrase) it was her, she whipped around and started following me. I will say that I didn't know for sure that it was her at this point I only write it as if I did because I know how the story turns out. I thought I heard honking and looked in my mirror and there was the one vehicle that I looked at on the way out.......deep down I knew it was her and that I should stop, but I didn't......... I kept driving for a mile until we came to an intersection that had a stop sign then she got out and ran to my van. Long story short I rescheduled her for tomorrow so oh joy! I get to go back. Well I guess these folks aren't going to show either, so I'll be leaving now.

Well they didn't show so down the road I go.......
Oh here is something I wrote awhile back when My daughter was still an infant, Enjoy
ZD

Parenting is great isn’t it, we just had our first kid, a little girl. It is so much fun to watch her grow and develop and change. My wife and I are changing too: more caring, loving, nervous.... sneaky. One of our favorite things to do is go into our daughters room and watch her sleep. And what is it about baby's sleeping that they can do it so quietly. Anyone who has had kids knows exactly what I am talking about. You go in to check on them and you’re standing there admiring the work of your loins, admiring this little cherub and how small and doll-like she is and suddenly you think "man she is quiet!" Then you get nervous right and start thinking "omigoodness, is she breathing?!" The funny thing is that you try to laugh it off and say that your not one of those over protective parents and turn to walk out of the room. But you don’t get far right? Something starts gnawing at the back of your mind and before you know it your like a mental patient: your pacing back and forth outside the door wringing your hands, arguing with yourself until finally you burst into the room to check on your darling baby! Of course all of this takes place in matter of two seconds and all without making a sound; because we all know that once that baby is asleep you let it sleep so you can return to being a normal human being for an hour and a half (if your lucky) At this point you have to ways to go about checking on your baby. The Lean or the Poke. The Lean is the less disruptive but harder to pull off with the high rails on a crib, best left for situations when they are sleeping on the kitchen floor or curled up by the computer. In this situation I prefer the Poke or Gentle Prodding. I can remember one night when my wife and I were going up to bed and we popped into the baby’s room to watch our perfect little girl sleeping perfectly........still that is and suddenly I had one of "those" moments and freaked out, except now she is eight months old and I know everything about babies so it was a micro-freak out and I calmly reached out and prodded her. She popped up like someone in a movie who you think is dead but their not and everyone screams and laughs because they were scared, well we didn’t scream and we didn't laugh but we did freeze. Motionless except for our eyes we made contact and in the milliseconds that this all transpired my wife and I communicated to each other exactly what needed to be done. You would have thought there was a bomb or people shooting at us because we dropped to the floor like two fainting goats. As we lay there motionless, unable to see what our daughter was doing, but hearing her stir around getting back into her sleeping position (which is on her belly, arms tucked under her torso and legs pulled up so her butt is sticking up into the air.) We turned in to battle hardened soldiers, I am giving my wife hand signals that probably looked like the weirdest game of charades and we start to do the military belly crawl out of the room. Trying to stay low and slow we finally made it out of the room, where once we were out of range, we just collapsed in laughter. That may have been the last time I attempted the Poke.
Well I finally got my laptop tp work and now I can actually post something! .........
.......
.......
I am sitting at this gi-normous house in Shamrock Hills using someones unsecured wireless network (suckers) waiting for a customer to show, who if they don't in the next 5 will have to reschedule. Which I hope they don't b/c it is a mon. morning and I woke up late b/c my cracked out alarm clock wasn't loud and didn't wake me from my peaceful slumber! So I started the day in a slump and this first call has the potential to be a pain in the buttocks. (cough) I love my job. (cough cough)
